The Vision What started as a personal obsession became a documented build series that attracted some of the most respected brands in the overland and outdoor space. The goal was simple – build a fully functional short bed camper in a 2024 Tacoma without sacrificing daily driveability. The execution turned into one of the most compelling content series on the channel to date.
The Build With a 5ft bed and a vision sketched on paper, the build required solving a problem most overlanders avoid entirely. Every inch of space had to serve a purpose – sleeping platform, gear storage, and daily utility all coexisting in a truck driven every single day. The series documented every decision, every challenge, and every breakthrough across multiple long form episodes supported by short form content.
The Partnerships The series launched with under 1,000 subscribers and no guaranteed brand support. What followed was a masterclass in earned credibility. By delivering high quality cinematic content and a compelling story, the series attracted five brand partners organically:

Diode Dynamics came on as a full sponsor and brand ambassador partner – providing the credibility that opened doors across the overland industry. Each subsequent video brought new partners and new audiences.
The Results: I created imagery, short form videos and long form videos distributed across Instagram, Facebook and Youtube / Shorts. Total Views: 65,454 and growing as the series was just completed on 5.19.26. Total Impressions from long form content: 109,200K. Total new subscribers on Youtube: 500+ from starting point of 900 subs in December, 2025. Total Watch Time: 414 hours and growing. All metrics will continue to grow and will update monthly (updated 5.26.26)
The build series has since attracted inbound interest from Kelty – a globally distributed brand sold at Walmart and major retailers across the USA – and Michelin, who reached out regarding a potential partnership.
